We all deserve what we want
we all deserve what we get
our momentary oasis in the meaningless desert
or maybe just a mirage from the beginning
a blank screen for your projections
a fleshy sleeve for my erections

we saw it all coming
I can call you names all day
but you still want what you want
and I still am too simple
or broken

I rage at reality itself
but you still live there
and i live in the river in egypt from which all life flows

I guess we both thought love could conquer all
and it does, until it doesn't

And if im here for my spirit to learn something
it must just be that Im not so great
But that just seems like a shitty lesson
