Naturopathic physicians, (the cool doctors) wouldn't tell their worst enemy to drink distilled water. They are more open minded about "alternative" research and will still run it by their rigorous, extensive training & knowledge of the human body. They also study chemistry and organic chemistry. They see the ill health effects by people who have drunk distilled water for periods of time. When I asked my ND husband what he thought about the water issue, he said, "buy a high quality water filter and if you're really worried, boil it."
I also wanted to add that CULTS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR HAVING FOOD AND WATER FETISHES! Their leaders will find a way to F#@k you up about food & drink all the while imbibing whatever the hell they want to, themselves! The classic way to know whether you are in a cult or not is whether they emphasize purgatives of any sort: purging, purifying items like distilled water and fasting. They are sending you a message loud and clear: either you or the environment is impure and in need of detoxification. Either way, you're going to have to spend money and inconvenience yourself in order to enjoy worse health under their misguidance. They, according to Susan Weed, a famous herbalist from NY who I met a few years back, (SHE'S AMAZING) are usually coming from the heroic tradition:
"The Heroic tradition: the way of the savior, a circular path of rules, punishment, and purification. "Trust me" (S.W.) Here her link to the article. The bottom line, is be SENSITIVE, KIND, SELF-AWARE and VERY LOVING to yourself always! :D

"When someone comes along and says this is a way to be clean and be pure, we're suckers for it," Weed says. The Wise Woman tradition " is when we stop cleansing and purifying, when we start accepting ourselves and others for the incredible, magical gift of sacredness that we are."
